People who score high on the Listening learning style may find it easier to learn from lectures or by giving presentations than from reading.

You prefer to learn by seeing. This means you like learning by reading and writing or looking at pictures.

You learn best when you:

  • watch demonstrations
  • make notes or sketches
  • use mind maps, colour coding, or make lists.

 

You may be good at subjects that involve individual research. You also remember pictures and film well. You may get distracted by noise and find it more difficult to learn from formal lectures if you don’t make notes.

 

 Mainly ‘b’s?

 

You prefer to learn by listening.

You learn best when you:

  • take part in group discussions
  • have time to think about something
  • follow spoken instructions

 

 

You may be good at subjects that include giving presentations or taking part in discussions. You may respond well to formal lectures but find it difficult to learn through reading and writing alone.

You prefer to learn by doing things and moving around.

You learn best when you:

  • do things for yourself

  • take regular breaks

  • show something to others

 
 

You may be good at subjects that include creating, building, experimenting or demonstrating things. You may find traditional learning more difficult and respond well to working in practical or real situations.
